On this day in 1988, Whitney’s “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” — the fourth single from her second album, Whitney — reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The song was produced by Narada Michael Walden and written by Frank Wildhorn and Chuck Jackson. It also would later become her seventh consecutive #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, beating The Beatles and The Bee Gees (who were tied at six) — a record that still holds to this day!
