On July 14, 2009 (11 years ago today), Whitney and Clive Davis held the first of three listening parties for her I Look To You album. The first (pictured) was held in London, England, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and was attended mainly by press and regional record company executives. Subsequent events were held in Los Angeles and New York. These events helped create great word of mouth leading up to the release.
