On November 25, 1995 (25 years ago today), Whitney’s song “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” from the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack debuted at #1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. This was Whitney’s eleventh and final #1 single. Written and produced by Babyface, the song received four GRAMMY nominations and won for Best R&B Song. It won several other awards including a Soul Train Music Award.
