The song, written by Michael Gore and Dean Pitchford, was originally recorded in 1982 by Linda Clifford. Whitney’s version was produced by Narada Michael Walden and features a sax solo by Kenny G. It went on to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Adult Contemporary chart.
