Whitney Houston won her second Grammy Award, pictured here, in 1988 for Best Pop Vocal Performance Female for the song “I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me).” Whitney opened the Grammys that night by performing the song with her full touring band. “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” became Whitney’s fourth #1 single on the U.S. Hot 100 chart, and served as the lead single from her second album, Whitney. That album became the first by a female artist in music history to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
