On January 11, 1985 (35 years ago today), Arista Records released the second single off Whitney’s debut album. Titled “Thinking About You,” the song was written by Kashif (Saleem) and LaLa (La Forrest Cope) and produced by Kashif. It became a Top Ten hit on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
