On June 21, 1993 (26 years ago today), “Run To You” was released as the fourth and final U.S. single from The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album. Written by Alan Rich and Jud Friedman and produced by David Foster, the song was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in ’93 but lost out to “A Whole New World” from Aladdin. A live version of the song was released in November 2017 on the 25th anniversary album titled I Wish You Love: More From The Bodyguard.
