Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” was the first single released from The Bodyguard Soundtrack, and it became the largest-selling commercial single in history and stayed at #1 on the U.S. Hot 100 singles chart for a record-breaking 14 weeks. The movie also broke box office records worldwide, earning more than $410 million and establishing Whitney as a force to be reckoned with as both a singer and actress. Whitney took home three Grammys in 1993, and two of them are pictured here — Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance Female for “I Will Always Love You.” Whitney also won the night’s most coveted award — Album of the Year for The Bodyguard Soundtrack.
