On November 25, 1992, (28 years ago), the romantic thriller The Bodyguard starring Whitney and Kevin Costner was released theatrically in the U.S. This was Whitney’s film debut — she had been reluctant to do the film but Costner convinced her she could do it. The film went on to gross more than $400 million worldwide making it the second-highest grossing film of 1992. The soundtrack of course went on to record-breaking success, becoming the biggest-selling soundtrack in history.
