When Whitney was a new artist, Arista Records asked director Brian Grant if he would create a music video with her for a new song called “How Will I Know.” After hearing the song and loving it, Brian accepted and developed the idea for the video: “The concept came from a play on the words, how will I know, which led me to the idea of a maze as a metaphor for relationships. The set was basically a lot of panels made of plastic and all of those bright colors are just printer’s ink thrown on there by an art director.” #WhitneyHouston35
