Whitney Houston - Greatest Love Of All U.S. 7-inch vinyl single front cover

Thirty-three years ago today (April 26, 1986), Whitney’s song “Greatest Love Of All” from her debut album reached #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The song had been written back in 1977 by Michael Masser and Linda Creed and originally recorded by George Benson, whose version peaked at #24 in the U.S. The video (with a cameo from Cissy Houston) was filmed at the famed Apollo Theater in Harlem, NYC.
