On August 28, 1999 “My Love Is Your Love” hit #1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. The song was written and produced by Wyclef Jean and Jerry Duplessis (who had worked with The Fugees) and was remixed by Jonathan Peters and other artists. It was a major success worldwide and USA Today praised the song as “a spiritual, reggae-tinged jam.”
