Whitney Houston’s ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ Peaked This Day In 1999


On March 20, 1999 (21 years ago today), Whitney’s song “Heartbreak Hotel” peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. (It had peaked at #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in February 1999.) The song was the second single from her My Love Is Your Love album and featured Faith Evans and Kelly Price during the choruses and bridge. It went on to receive two nominations at the 2000 GRAMMY Awards.
