Twenty years ago (December 15, 1998) Arista Records released “Heartbreak Hotel” as a single. It was the second single from the My Love Is Your Love album and featured Whitney singing with Faith Evans and Kelly Price. The song was written and produced by Danish writers and producers Soulshock & Karlin and became a big hit on both the pop and R&B charts. It received both GRAMMY and Billboard Music Award (amongst other) nominations, as well as an MTV Video Music Award nomination for Best R&B Video.
