
“One Moment In Time” was released as a single on August 27, 1988 (32 years ago today). Whitney recorded the song for the 1988 Summer Olympics held in Seoul, South Korea – written by Albert Hammond and John Bettis and produced by Narada Michael Walden. It appeared on the soundtrack album for the games, titled 1988 Summer Olympics Album: One Moment In Time. (The song later was included on the second disc of Whitney: The Greatest Hits and also The Ultimate Collection, as well as I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston). It became a Top 10 hit around the world and was #1 in the U.S. on Billboard‘s Adult Contemporary chart. Whitney performed the song at several events, including the 31st GRAMMY Awards on February 22, 1989.
