‘Whitney Dancin’ Special’ Was Released This Day In 1986

Whitney Houston - Dancin' Special

November 1, 1986 – Whitney Houston’s Dancin’ Special was first released exclusively in Japan and featured six tracks — five remixes and one instrumental of songs from her debut album. It was later released for the first time in the U.S. as part of the Whitney Houston 35th Anniversary box set.

The box set included an alternate version of “You Give Good Love (Extended Dance Version)” with previously unreleased vocalizations. That version was later added as a seventh track to the digital version of Dancin’ Special, titled “You Give Good Love (Extended Alternate Dance Version).”
