Whitney Houston’s ‘I Will Always Love You’ Hit #1 On Adult Contemporary Chart This Day In 1992

December 19, 1992 (28 years ago) “I Will Always Love You” peaked at #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Arguably one of the most famous love songs, it spent a then record-breaking 14 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and is one of the best-selling singles of all time. As we know, it was Kevin Costner who suggested the song and Whitney and David Foster re-arranged the song as a soul ballad.
