Whitney! Celebrating the Musical Legacy of Whitney Houston is a special exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. The exhibit has been extended until May 2013 due to popular demand and features many items from Whitney's personal collection, including some of her costumes, awards and other memorabilia. This particular photograph by Richard Avedon was taken in 1987 as part of the photo shoot for Whitney Houston's second album, Whitney -- the first album by a female artist in music history to debut at #1 on the U.S. album chart.

Once in a while, we like to post stories of special things fans are doing and this is one we thought we should share:

UK Whitney fans Arthur T. and Lee H. (pictured below) have rented the oldest working cinema in the UK, called The Electric, in Birmingham and have arranged for a special screening of The Bodyguard on February 23, the 20th Anniversary.

Here is a picture of their invite:

Fans will be coming from all over the UK and points beyond. The movie will be shown on a fully HD screen with surround sound and the soundtrack will be playing when people enter the theatre!

Arthur and Lee have arranged to buy everyone a drink as they arrive and afterwards many are going for cocktails and dinner. They are expecting close to 50 friends and fans.

Arthur and Lee said they put this event together to show "how adored Whitney was and what a special place The Bodyguard holds for so many people". Fans interested in attending - you still can by e-mailing Arthur at amuircroft@hotmail.com.

We here at WhitneyHouston.com don't get out very often (it's true, we are kinda nerds like that!) but when we do its big. And this week, we had the amazing opportunity to attend the unveiling ceremony of Whitney's four wax figures at Madame Tussauds in NYC. The unveiling marks the first time in 200 years that the museum has created 4 different figures of the same person. All we can say is Madame Tussauds did an EXCEPTIONAL job depicting different points in her 30+ career.

Check out some candid photos we took from the event below and learn more about the historical event here.

Don't forget to leave a comment letting us know which wax figure is your favorite!

Tomorrow is the day - Whitney Houston will be immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds when the wax attraction unveils four new wax figures of her tomorrow. The special unveiling will be held at Madame Tussauds New York.
