January 2000 - Whitney performing at Radio City Music Hall in New York for the Roy Jones boxing match. Roy Jones was a huge Whitney fan and had personally requested that she sing at the match. A boxing match was a very rare occurrence at Radio City.

Whitney at the 1988 American Music Awards holding her award for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. She beat out Janet Jackson and Madonna who were also nominated in that category.

Whitney Houston's first ever solo televised concert. Following her historic performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" during the 1991 Super Bowl, Whitney decided to carry it over into a concert to honor the troops and their families. Many of the troops were returning home from the Gulf War. The concert was broadcast live on HBO (Home Box Office). The cable network agreed to unscramble its signal allowing it to be available to over 53 million cable households. The concert was open to only 3,100 people, all of whom were either military personnel or their families. The show won a Cable ACE award for "Performance music special" in 1992.

Whitney hosted an All Star Holiday Gala in NYC in 1999 for producer David Gest.

Whitney had the good fortune to present Bruce Springsteen with his Oscar for Best Original Song in March, 1994 for "Streets of Philadelphia" from the film "Philadelphia" with Tom Hanks. Here they are backstage after the presentation. They both admired each others work!

Whitney and Stevie Wonder had a friendship that spanned three decades. Here they are the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for VH1 Divas Duets in May, 2003. They sang Stevie's classic "I Was Made to Love Her".

Whitney, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Clive Davis at The Carousel of Hope Ball, held in Beverly Hills in October 2006. This was an annual charity event benefiting juvenile diabetes that Whitney also performed at on other years.

May 2008 - Whitney performing at the Caudwell Children's Charity event for special needs children in the UK. The event, called The Legends Ball, is one of the biggest charity events in the UK and others like Kylie Minogue, Rod Stewart and Elton John have performed. It was held at Battersea Park and she met some of the children the day before and took photos with them at Grosvenor House.
