BET announced plans to pay tribute to Whitney Houston during the BET Awards. Whitney Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, will perform alongside other top female artists to honor Whitney's life.

In an article by Women's Wear Daily, author David Moin sat down with the designer of Whitney's dresses while on the set of the upcoming musical film, Sparkle. Designer B Michael, goes into detail on the different dresses Whitney wears throughout the movie. From a champagne-colored silk wool two-piece suit with a mink collar, to a scene where she wears a double-faced wool jersey demi-cape and matching eggplant sheath. B Michael also explains how it was a once in a lifetime moment to work with Whitney.

Sparkle: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be available on July 31st. The 13-song soundtrack includes the up-lifting song, "Celebrate" by Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks following with Whitney’s soul-stirring take on the gospel classic, “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” as the soundtrack’s second single.

Jordin Sparks and John Legend to Perform Moving Tribute, With Special Appearance by Bobbi Kristina and Pat Houston

The late Whitney Houston will be honored with the 2012 Billboard Millennium Award. A moving tribute dedicated to Houston will be performed by Jordin Sparks and John Legend as they take the stage to commemorate Houston’s legacy. Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, will make a special appearance to accept the award in her honor. The award is to be presented at “The 2012 Billboard Music Awards,” hosted by Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, which airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on SUNDAY, MAY 20 (8:00–11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
