Whitney will never be replaced by anyone at any time. We were given a great gift – Whitney and her voice; thank God for the memories through her music - her voice will be with us forever. Her love for her family, friends, and fans was carried with her into heavens gates.
I am Veronica Baskerville Kacey, and wrote a book called, “A Tribute to Whitney Elizabeth Houston – with God in the Mix.” I have never felt such a need to write a book until now, and I strongly believe that God compelled me to do this as it dispels the negative, and accentuate the positives about her.
My book references the word of God, and biblically shows that even though the best of us struggle (yes, even His apostles who were with Him daily), we fall down; we are all saved my grace, and I know His grace was sufficient for Whitney and I know she is rocking heavens walls right now!
I dedicated this book to her mother Mrs. Cissy Houston, Bobbi Kristina, and the family; I believe it will be a source of comfort, be uplifting, and bring a very special positive message to them, her fans, and anyone who will take the time to read it. It even comforted me as I was writing it, so I thank God.
I have also started a “word press” tribute to Whitney which is @ www.mywhitneytribute.wordpress.com. We (the fans of Whitney) are accentuating the positive, so please go there and leave a comment.
Whitney's voice was like "butter," - not Parkay margarine, or I Can't Believe it's not Butter, but the "real thing." Her voice was a DeVinci and every time she sang, she painted on a canvass in our hearts, minds and ears.
www.mywhitneytribute.wordpress.com was created for people like us to express our love for Whitney. I would love it if you would go there and express yourselves as well.
REMEMBER - Whitney is rocking Heaven's walls - and please go to the link to post a comment.
I believe whitney houston is one of the best vocal artist that i have heard in a long time when she left the world the world was wounded ! and it hurts me not being able to see her beautifual face in the here and now one of her songs was my favorite ' I Look to you".
That is so beautiful what you wrote, kimberlyn36. For Whitney's birthday, I am going to leave flowers at her plaque which lays in the sidewalk at the foot of the front door at the Grammy museum in Los Angeles. I will leave some for you as well, along with a card with some of the beautiful words you have written in your posts. Unless, there is something specific you would like me to write. I will be going there anyway. Peace, Sister. -WR
I am really feeling "Whitney" presence today; her spirit reaching out . I think of her everyday and listen to her music and I caught a great documentary called "Driven" which goes in to her childhood, her whole family and her Mom, Cissy shares her world of music with "Whitney" and how she respected her Mother; her singing, her values and guidance. Today is three months that she has passed. So I have a heavy heart!!! just wanted to share and reach out to my other friends and fans of our "Whitney"today. I'm also trying to think of a song that she sang that would fit today. It would be the last that she sang that we know about "Jesus Loves Me". All of her music, collaborations are stellar. A symphony of perfection and a treasure. I love you and miss you. Forever in heaven. Singing with the Angels. Ilook2u. Love, Dawn
Today, as I was driving through Beverly Hills, I passed the Beverly Hilton and a pain shot through my heart. I slowed down, remembering that day, Feb. 11. I was at the grocery store out of town and some drunken man saw that stupid National Enquirer with Whitney on the cover. Then he said, "There she is. So sad. She died today." I couldn't believe it. I thought because he was drunk he didn't know what he was saying. So, I asked the cashier. He said, "Yes. She died today at 3:55pm. Very sad." The biggest surprise of all was that these were two old white men in a very closed minded, prejudice town. And they were sad that Whitney Houston was gone........Miss you lots, Nippy.
Like y'all I'm a huge WH fan. I've been a musician most of my life. Two years ago I started writing songs. Sometime after the sad passing of our Whitney, I came up with a majestic sounding chord progression and melody. As an instrumental musician I tend to get the chords and melody first, lyrics come later. Anyway, it dawned on me one day the tune I had written would make a great WH tribute song. It turned out even better than I had hoped!. I truly believe it does our Whitney justice. I've just created a video to go along with the song and posted it on YouTube. Visit YouTube and search for: Heaven Held It's Breath (an original Whitney Houston tribute song) and you will be able to view it. Or copy and paste the link below in your address bar.

To Cissy and Krissy Houston: may you find peace in your heart and strength within your soul on this Mother's Day. -W.
