I am devastated by the loss of Whitney. This is an unimaginable tragedy and I miss her terribly. In life there is a before, during and after a now ... nothing will ever be the same. We loved you Whitney, you do not know maybe not, but we loved you. For your wonderful songs, your voice sublime and your wonderful beauty. You did not deserve what life and some people you are subjected.
In fact I know these words can not represent what I feel.

There has not been a performer who has touched my heart the way that Whitney Houston did. I loved her from the first album. I idolized her really. However, I lost track of what she was doing for a while before she appeared on Oprah in 2009. I was so excited to see her again! I was rooting for her all the while. Her voice, "the voice" was mesmerizing, incredible, one of a kind, inspiring, and God given! I always thought of her as an amazing person in spite of her choices and struggles. I just had a very real caring for her. The world loved Whitney! I just wanted to see her well and see her have an opportunity to take in all the love people felt for her world wide. I hope she was able to look past so much of the negative and realize what a treasure she was. I am still shocked by the heaviness of my heart. Whitney's death has affected my daily life and I can't stop thinking about her, the circumstances and timing of her death, and her daughter and mother. If I feel this much hurt having never met her, I cannot imagine what her family is going through. I do know that the love these three women shared was never questioned, nor is their love and trust in God. I am thankful for this forum where I can express my feelings and thoughts to others who feel the same. My family has been so sweet but even I don't really understand how I can feel so heartbroken over a person I never met, even if she was the most incredible singer of all time! It isn't as though I knew Whitney and yet I feel like I did. I have nothing but love for her. Whitney, I miss you, God bless you. God bless your family and your loved ones. The world is keeping you all in our prayers.

OMG I still find this overwhelming and unbelievable I've watch Whitney like the many others with pride and sorrow ,and I know a pain and I never knew her to say she was my friend . I was given a awesome honor 1986 when Cissy came to Gary, Indiana to perform and I was asked to be her Body Guard ,yes I am a lady a former Police Officer . I found such a joy working with Cissy . You see she and another Garyite Lou Drinkard are first cousins they were brothers children "Cissy, Dionne Warwick, Dee Dee Warwick and their mothers all sang and were called the Drinkard Gospel Singers so coming to Gary was a treat for all.
The love Cissy showed me and others and our city was so rewarding I meet Gary Whitney's brother who could sing OMG also, and they just showed nothing but love and with that you knew they were a for real "Loving Family" . I share the great loss with all of you and please let's honor Whitney for her talent and skill that brought people together.If there is one of you who hasn't known someone a relative or who ever that has had social,emotional,chemical trouble step forward ,with that I close by saying Whitney give love to all so let's give it back.Whitney The Greatest Love Of All.Take your peace Lit Sista
