May the lord lift you into his arms, release your troubles' bless those you love' sing for the heavens ' they've been blessed to have you !

To the family of Whitney,

During this time of sudden departure of our sister whose angelic voice graced the ears and souls of countless; has transcended, may the Spirit of the Lord strengthen you and lighten your load. His promise is to "keep us in perfect peace if we keep our mind focused on Him" Isaiah 26:3

I am so thankful I had the opportunity to know her. She was an inspiration to so many to believe in themselves and her music will live on for other generations to capture the vision created by her music.

God has you now Whitney, rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon you. I've been following your career ever since the "Greatest Love of All" was published and have been praying earnestly along with your many faithfuls, for your return to us and you did. You found the strength and then discovered your own strength. I am sorry you were never given the chance to come apart and rest awhile while you were still with us.

I now know God has called you to Himself to rest awhile and He has you now. I don't know when the tears are gonna stop coming. I really truly miss you. I was praying you would come to my island Jamaica and perform at our Jazz and Blues Festival...but all that is now beyond a dream.

My deepest appreciation to your family and to our God for lending us you. We will meet again. To Mom Cissy, Aunty Dionne, Daughter Bobby Christina, and Whitney's entire family...please accept my deepest condolences as we mourn with you OUR LOSS. (Romans 14:Cool For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. 9For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

Blessed love.

Whitney était ma jeunesse, mes années 80, 90 et 2000. Ma jeunesse est à présent partie, disparue, envolée... trop tôt. Mais ton souvenir, ton aura, sera à jamais présent. Tu me manques déjà. Frédéric from Belgium.

Whitney, you were such a beautiful Songbird and I know you are now up in heaven singing for Jesus!! Rest in peace!

I wanted to become an Olympic runner because of the song. One Moment In Time.Everyone who was on my High School team did after it was released.People as kids are blank slates and we should have more inspirational music like that. Ms.Houston helped us dream and write our
slates!!Thank God for that song.I never did become an Olympian. However,I did earn an advanced degree in athletics and became a Cross Country Coach. One Moment In Time was one of the best Olympic Anthems. We all loved Whitney esp in a small WV steel mill town.My prayers are with her family and esp. her children.

God bless her memory,Gale
