Whitney and the famous host of Soul Train TV show, Don Cornelius. Whitney appeared on Soul Train only once – in February 1985. She performed “You Give Good Love” to a rousing ovation and later in the show performed “How Will I Know” to show audiences she could do up tempo songs as well as ballads. She later appeared on many Soul Train Award shows but this was a classic at the start of her career.
