I bought your first and second albums, I used to sing in my bedroom - often told to be quiet - I wanted to be you, your voice brought so much happiness to my life. I could not sing for toffee! I sounded like a strangled cat! I taped you from the tv when you did the Nelson Mandela concert and everyday before I went to work I would sneak downstairs and watch it, it made me feel so happy. I am so sad your gone, WHY?, you paved the way and should have received more credit for that, no doubt the american tv companies will now say that, too little too late. I love you Whitney you were an amazing talent a true soul diva, a natural talent. May God rest your soul - I will never ever forget you, neither will the millions of fans that have your music, you touched me, your music was my youth, my twenties and so forth. I will always love you - RIP beautiful lady - you went to soonxxxxxxxxxxx

God touched her throat and said sing... and we were never the same. Her singing is a spiritual experience. Thank you for being that vessel. Thank you.

We thank God for sharing you with us if only for a little while. We thank you Ms. Houston for sharing your love, energy and your God given talents with us. Rest In Peace. May God continue to surround your family including your beloved daughter, in love and blessings. God Bless You Ms. Whitney Houston. We're missing you already.

I have always been compared to Whitney ever since I could remember. As a young woman and teenager, people would always, always stop me and comment on the resemblance. Also, I, like many, tried to immulate her singing style while growing up. I was pretty good, too. Though, I have to say, I was no Whitney Houston. I was absolutely crushed and devestated to hear of her passing. My phone rang off the hook all day from people that I knew and loved and who naturally knew of my love and admiration for Whitney. If you knew me for more than 5 minutes, you knew I was a huge, huge Whitney fan. My friends and family reached out to me to offer their condolences for "my loss." The only thing that could really give me any kind of peace was Kim Burrell's interview on CNN. Thank God for their friendship, which was rooted in the word of the Gospel. Bobbi Kris, if you're reading this, please know that you are loved. God called your mom home for reasons that we will never understand, but it's not our job to question Him - it's our job to trust Him. Trust His heart when you can't trace His hand. Remember that. As surely as we are born, we all have to leave this human form behind and our spirits will return to our creator. Whitney, you will be missed like no other but not soon forgotten. May God receive you into His kingdom and rest your soul. My sincerest and most heart felt condolences to the entire Houston, family and friends.
