missing a great voice....rest now dear sister...all hurt and pain are now gone...you have had your one moment in time....and a interesting time these past 48 years have been for you...you will be missed...R.I.P.

Beloveds and Family, my heart is so hurt that now Whitney is gone. Love carried her a long way, and we felt her always in our souls. Only good thoughts and prayer will get us over this sorrowful time. I send all my love to you. She was love to me. I heard her voice and grasped its purpose - to shine her spirit in the world. Whitney's heart and soul were pure and when the world backed off and let her breathe free, it transcended us all. God's grace be with her, and eternal rest may He grant upon her. May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

The saddest of this is that great talents like Whitney are so horribly misunderstood. Everyone wants to put artists in this and that box... from the secular world to the church. We just can't allow anything to exist that we can't tie down to fit our own views and experiences. We get frustrated when people like her dare to live beyond our personal "safe zones". People like Whitney have a gift and passion and a struggle that escapes the mundane. We can't understand the spirit of one such as John The Baptist, who pushed the envelope so far his head was served on a platter because he risked speaking the truth. Living life is risky... and pursuing our callings even more so. There's a price to pay for those who dare to take the path less traveled. It can cost you your head.

Whitney started her journey singing in church. Had she stayed there, she would have starved on "love offerings" and likely would have stopped singing altogether. But she went out... and shared her salt and light with the world. A risk for sure. And she met with some things that overwhelmed her. But who knows the battle she fought in her heart? Who can judge her longing deep inside? Don't think for a moment she didn't notice how "the church" chastised and punished Amy Grant for her 1st secular song. Don't under estimate that she knew the differences and hypocrisies of the Christian music industry vs. the secular. She went out... and her voice touched countless millions, in ways we will never know of. She obviously fought a battle inside... and who can know how the enemy feared the potential for her taking that voice and using it, if only for a night, to praise God. Certainly, the ex-chief musician fears music more than prayers... because he knows the power it yields in the spiritual world... and perhaps, Whitney knew that too. America is so culturally corrupted... and our artists, our TRUE artists know it. The day before she died, she took to the stage one more time and sang "Jesus Loves Me." Had Whitney decided to stay in the church choir... we wouldn't be writing about her. Although she had some shortcomings, who can know how God used her in the gap... as salt and light? - by G.Gary Boggess

And as we think about people like Whitney... we should ask... are we taking our faith OUT into the world, or is the world coming IN. Are we causing the rock to cry out in our place??????

Whitney Houston You are in Heaven now with the Angels ,My Deepest Sympathy To your Mother & Daughter and Family . God Bless .

: (

i will miss you .....

This was the greatest vocalist (artist) in the world; her God given gifts are unmatched. There was so many times in my life that I wanted to spend time with Whitney, not because she was a celebrity or famous but because she loved the lord with her heart and soul, which was clearly displayed in her smile, voice and eyes. To put it simply, she had Jesus all over her always even in the dark moments. Throughout my life Whitney has been an inspiration having a voice that could piece the darkness in one's soul. Over the past 30 years every song that she has performed has been part of each period of my life, through relationships, trauma and celebrations, I feel as if I’ve lost a family member. Since I work an incredible amount of hours each week, I haven't had time to mourn her passing; however last night was my breaking point. I began crying about 10pm and haven't stopped. My eyes are so swollen that I could hardly drive to work this morning. During my 40 years of life I've questioned God about many things, but Whitney's death has blown my mind. This incredible talented, gifted woman has shown the world that even through dark times you can still achieve your dreams. Additionally, she has shown us all that no matter what kind of behaviors are being displayed, God loves us, not matter what we’re doing or how were behaving. To your family Whitney, “Lord bring complete peace to the whole in their hearts that only you can fill with your love”. “Lord open the hearts and minds of those who don’t know you, let each one know your love and greatness through this time of mourning and celebration”. “Lord touch each one in that church today, let no one leave without being touched by you in some way”. “Thank you Lord for having this beautiful person be part of my life, even from distance.” “Lord I ask for your angels to be around Bobbi, to protect her from the schemes of the enemy”, “I pray all these things in Jesus name”.

God graciously lent us one of His best Angelic Host voices for a little while. She is now in his highest host of those singing in His house right now. He certainly missed her. We thank him for his gift even if for a little while.

With the world in its condition, is it any wonder that she went home early?
This is no place for such a being as her to be--though our hearts miss her cuz we know inwardly that if she could not live a healthy long life among us that we are truly d____d!
ALL humans with a decent soul love her and knew she was/is special.

Anyone with ears could hear the heavenly beauty in her voice which came forth from her as easy as our mere breaths happened.
For all time, her voice will be the measure against which all voices will be compared.

A sad time for the loss of a special lady with a great talent, Now she will be singing with the Angels in heaven, R.I.P
