To me this cd is a more mature Whitney. It's like a new birth. The old has passed away and behold the new has come. This is the dawning of a new era of Whitney Houston. The song I Didn't Know My Own Strength sounds like her anthem to herself. When she thought she had nothing left, no where to go her spirit whispered to her, you have a lot left in you and it caused her to look within herself, see who she is and Whose she is. Once she was able to do that then she was able to look to the One who never left her side, carried her through her storm and brought her out to the other side.
The song I Look To You is amazing. Every time I hear it I get teary eyed. In our darkest hour if we would only look to our Creator we can and will come through it all. Despite all the negative comments, the jokes and everything else, as long as you keep looking to the Father Whitney, where your help comes from, nothing will be able to keep you down. He has your back every time all the time. Man will let you down time and time again, but He is faithful to the end. So keeping looking to Him.
I am excited and happy for you. I knew this day was coming without a shred of doubt in my mind. The prayers of the righteous avail much. I'm looking forward to the next project and can't wait to hear what you and Cece come together and do. I can even see you doing a project with Israel Houghton and the likes. Your voice is so ready for the kingdom of God. Thank you for not giving up or giving in to the cares of this world.
