Whitney Announces National Australian Tour!

Andrew McManus Presents worldwide superstar, Whitney Houston, as she embarks on a national tour of Australia for the first time since her 'Moment Of Truth Tour' travelled the country in 1988.

Following on from the announcement last week of her special one off show at Hope Estate Winery, Whitney will also be performing in arenas around the country, kicking off in Brisbane on February 22nd 2010.

Whitney Houston is the ultimate soul-pop diva and the only artist to chart seven consecutive #1 Billboard Hot 100 hits ("Saving All My Love For You," "How Will I Know," "Greatest Love Of All," "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)," "Didn't We Almost Have It All," "So Emotional," and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go").

Among Whitney's other record-setting achievements: she is the first female artist to enter the Billboard 200 album chart at #1 (her second album, Whitney, 1987); and the only artist with seven consecutive multi-platinum albums ("Whitney Houston", "Whitney", "I'm Your Baby Tonight", "The Bodyguard", "Waiting To Exhale", and "The Preacher's Wife" soundtracks, and "My Love Is Your Love").

In fact, The Bodyguard soundtrack is one of the top 10 biggest-selling albums of all-time (at 17x-platinum in the U.S. alone), and Whitney's career-defining version of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" is the biggest-selling U.S. single of all-time (at 4x-platinum).

With over 170 million combined album, singles and videos sold worldwide during her musical career, Whitney Houston has established a benchmark for superstardom that may never be eclipsed.

Whitney’s Australian concert performances will see her performing all of her greatest hits, along with new songs from her recent Top 10 album, 'I Look To You', showcasing why she remains a singular force in music today and one the worlds most beloved pop icons.

Supporting Whitney in her Australian Arena shows is one of Australia's most recognized singers and performers, Anthony Callea.

Unfortunately Whitney's second concert for Perth has been cancelled.I hope this won't affect the first one!

She has cancelled the Perth concerts! Not happy! I've been dying to see Whitney since I was young and this is my chance! I don't often go to concerts because I'm really picky and I saved my money to go Whitney! :'(

I am SO disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Whitney
I distinctly remember this beautiful talented young singer hitting the airwaves in the Uk when I was a teen. I always wished I could sing as good as you. I would play your songs over and over. Whenever there was a function to sing at, how could I not sing a Whitney song, though never anywhere near the vocal talent you have always displayed. Now, I am in Australia and never thought I'd see the day when I'd get to actually see and hear you sing live. I'm going with my girlfriend and I'll be the one screaming the loudest....lol. Look forward to a fantastic show. Have a great Australian Tour Whitney....Mel

We attended the Brisbane concert last night and I have to say how sad it was to see that Whitney has all but destroyed her god given gift which was the voice of an angel. To see Whitney puffing and strugling to hit notes she once owned was soul destroying, I feel sorry for Whitney, the world knows what she went through with the drugs and I guess we could be seen to be naive to believe there would be no consequence to her voice. We love Whitney but we feel short-changed as we paid top dollar expecting the Whitney of old and we didn't get our money's worth.

I don't understand how people can criticise last night's concert in Brisbane. Whitney was absolutely amazing! People shouldn't go to a concert with certain expectations. Whitney's performance last night symbolised a celebration of her long, outstanding career. And just to hear her sing live and see her on stage made tears roll down my cheeks.
She is a beautiful woman (physically and spiritually) who has already achieved so much. She can hold her head high because she has satisfied her most loyal fans. I got more than my money's worth, and would pay to see the concert again. God bless xx
P.s. Bobbi Kristina is a gorgeous young lady and is so lucky to have a mum like Whitney! : )

I watched Whitney last night and thought she amazing- my family and i love you and your music so much that my 3 brothers named me after you all the way back in 1987!
It was a long time dream of my mum and I to see her live and we got to do that last night we only wished we got to meet her.

Congratulations on the show and your career lots of love and best wishes
Whitney Reid xx
