Whitney Houston hizo un regreso triunfal en los American Music Award el 22 de noviembre. Además de la actuación, Whitney recibió el AMA Internacional Music Award, un honor sólo para aquellos artistas especiales que han sobrepasado las fronteras de su país y han sido reconocidos como super estrellas en todo el mundo.
